Future/Past
In our opening session of the new year, we introduced our freshly-designed Gather space - our deepsea laboratory - to new collaborators of the Writing Lab. We went around the “room”, each creating speculative microstories on various objects in the space.
From there, we entered a new location where we could contemplate other modes of timekeeping - non-human scales, non-linearity. We guided ourselves through a series of exercises that dealt with imagining time in non-human scales. Future and Past overlapped, entiwined, unfolded in a short experimental performance of our collective words.
